MIX YOUR OWN CHEMISTRY AND SAVE

Directions:
First you need to have the right containers for mixing and collection; one set each for Developer and Fixer. Be sure to mark each set with a magic marker Dev and Fix. You don't want to mix them up. You could of course save your old bottles, and go to home depot, but this site has everything you will need. http://www.usplastic.com

Supplies needed:

10 one gallon plastic bottles with caps.
2 five gallon plastic containers.
2 funnels for transferring solution from the mixing bucket to the one gallon bottles.
2 stirring rods

Each case of developer and fixer contains two sets of chemistry with each making 5 gallons of solution.  Make only 5 gallons at a time as the shelf life of the mixed solution is much shorter than the chemical concentrate.  Follow the directions on the case making 5 gallons of either developer or fixer and pour into the 5 one gallon jugs.  Repeat for the other solution.  Now you have 5 gallons of both developer and fixer.  Below is the amount you can save by spending 20 minutes each month.

1 Gallon Developer - Ready to Use $10.18/Mix Yourself $6.35
1 Gallon Fixer - Ready to Use $9.25/Mix Yourself $3.95
